Railcar couplings

The railcar coupling is an integral crossover mounted onto rail tanks or road tankers in order to allow quick and safe connection to loading arms or other terminal facilities.

 

Process and Design

The connection is a wing union fig. 602.railcar coupling

 

1 – The spherical tapered male plug provides metal-to-metal secondary sealing.

2 – ACME or ISO union thread.

3 – Forged wing union nut.

4- The primary seal element can be supplied in different materials to suit fluid service (FKM or EPDM).

5 – A chain retains the nut whilst the coupling is connected with loading arm.

6 – Raised face flange with position indicator.

Safety Alert

Always use a brass hammer in order to avoid sparkling whilst striking the wing union nut, in particular when operating in hazardous areas. Always use an original FCE wing union. The use of a copy may seriously affect the safety of the operation.

The use of a 3 part body on the ball valve is innovative with a number of advantages from a safety & operational viewpoint. One flange of the valve is welded to the line thus alleviating effects of vibration or corrosion on a threaded connection.

 

Valve body repair & internal seal replacement can easily be carried out “in situ”.

There is, due to the construction, a much lower risk of the valve being removed or lost. Also, the valve is always correctly orientated.

 

The installation of the valve encourages regular maintenance to guarantee safe operation by having repair kits on hand rather than replacing by a threaded valve.

LPG REGO® Unions & Adaptors

Generally used for cold temperature and gaseous fluids, the LPG REGO® unions & adaptors provide a safe, quick and efficient connection onto LPG trucks for domestic supply (butane / propane) and are also used on loading arms and any rotating piping systems.

 

Process and Design  

The REGO® union is similar to hammer union but the nut is attached to the female sub.
The nut is grooved for “Key Fore” wrench make up. 1 3/4″ and 3 1/4″ ACME
Union thread available. Union subs are available for several pipe assembly:
NPT or BSP threaded or Buttweld (sch.40).

Size & Rating:

  • For pipes 1″ and 2″.
  • Pressure rating: Up to 50 bar (725 psi).

Piping crossovers

In any piping system there are always intepiping crossoversrface points between:

  • 2 different pressure ratings
  • 2 different pipe sizes
  • 2 different end connection types
  • …and some times, all three interfaces together!

Interfaces may be a critical and conflictual issue when it also interfaces between the scope of supply of different companies.

 

Range:

It is essential before you buy a crossover (X-over) to specify and piping crossoversanticipate all interface points you may need before starting a piping installation.
The following specifications shall be given:

General application:

Production Testing Equipment

Production Testing Equipment is used to test a well under production. It generally consists of a conventional Surface Well Testing Equipment asset (Test Separator and Data Acquisition System).

Production Testing Equipment for onshore operation is often a trailer mounted Mobile Testing Unit (MTU) that allows easy moving and fast connection to a by-pass manifold located onto the production line (or flowline) downstream the wellhead production chokes.

DESCRIPTION

Principle of Operation

 

The Dual Pot Sand Filter is designed to remove solid particles from well effluent. Located after the flowhead, it protects downstream equipment against erosion.

The 2-SF (2 – Stage Filtration) dual pot sand filter offers many advantages when compared to conventional models:

The first stage filtration is achieved by centrifugal separation whilst the second stage filtration employs an advanced removable screen to perform a mechanical cut-out. The vessels are fitted with a removable wear sleeve and the necessary nozzles for flushing with water.

As the fluid fows from outside to inside the screen, the flow area is not obstructed by the sand accumulation, providing a longer operating time compared to competitors.

  • Dual pot layout in 10′ skid footprint.
  • 3 1/16″ 9-Valve process manifold including by-pass.
  • 2 1/16″ Drain manifold with 1″ orifice adjustable choke.
  • 2″ 10K Flushing system with 1 13/16″ ball valves for reverse flow cleaning.
